How to Make Indian Dalsa

  • Pressure cook dal with chopped tomato and mash well
  • Add 1.5 cup of water, salt, turmeric and chilli powder, coriander leaves and curry leaves
  • When the mixture boils, add tamarind pulp, mix well and boil for 5 more minutes on medium flame
  • Remove and keep aside.
  • Season the dal with a tadka of mustard, cumin seeds, urad dal, garlic and curry leaves
