Ingredients

  • For batter:
  • 1 cup - semolina
  • 1 cup - whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 1 cup - cream
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • A little milk (optional)
  • For the filling:
  • 1 cup - jaggery
  • 1 coconut, grated
  • 1 cup - khoya

How to Make Indian Patishapta

  • Mix jaggery, coconut and khoya and cook on a slow fire till the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel. Reserve.
  • Mix semolina, atta and oil to make a smooth batter with water or milk.
  • Heat a griddle and smear a little oil on it. When the oil smokes, pour a ladle of batter on it and spread it thinly with the ladle in a round shape.
  • Put some filling on the cooked round and roll it and remove to a plate.
  • Prepare all the pancakes in the same way.
  • Serve with cream.
