Ingredients

  • 200 gm - whole skinned urud dal
  • 150 gm - idli Rice (parboiled Rice)
  • 200 gm - Sugar
  • oil to fry

How to Make Inippu Vadai (Sweet Wada)

  • Soak the idli rice for 30 mins and urud daal for 15 mins separately.
  • Grind rice till smooth without adding much of water. Remove and keep aside.
  • Drain daal.
  • Grind to a paste adding the sugar little at a time.
  • Do not add water.
  • Now add the rice batter to the grinder and grind along with the urud dal batter till its thoroughly mixed.
  • Heat oil in kadai.
  • Take a little quantity of batter - lime sized- and flatten it as for vadas.
  • Deep fry.
