  • 1 cup - yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup - sour yogurt
  • 2 tsp - Flax seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tsp - Channa dal
  • 1 - green chilli, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - eno salt or baking soda
  • A few - Curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Instant Flax Seed and Cornmeal idli:

    1. Heat few drops of oil, splutter the mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal
    2. Add chopped green chillies, curry leaves, fry for few seconds
    3. Meanwhile mix the cornmeal, sour yogurt, flax seeds in a bowl, add this tempered spices to them and finally add the eno salt
    4. Stir quickly and pour enough batter to the greased idli plates
    5. steam in idly cooker for 15-20 mins
    6. Serve.
