  • 1 cup - rava
  • 1 cup - Curd
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/4 tsp - soda bicarb
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 4 pinches - Red Chilli powder
  • 4 pinches - Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - Coriander leaves finely chopped.
  • How to Make Instant Rava Dhokla:

    1. Put a large vessel with 3 inches water to heat. Place a stand which goes above water level.
    2. Place a greased shallow plate with vertical edges, at least 1 inch high, on the stand.
    3. Mix rawa, salt and curds in a bowl.
    4. Add 2 tbsp water, beat well with a wooden spoon or spatula.
    5. Mix oil and soda, and mix into the batter, mixing very well till frothy.
    6. Heat the prepared vessel, covering with a fitting lid.
    7. Steam and allow to cook for 6-7 minutes.
    8. When the dhokla gets springy to touch, sprinkle cumin, chilli powder and coriander.
    9. Sprinkle a tbspful of water all over dhokla.
    10. Cover, simmer for 1 minute, remove plate.
    11. Cut into squares or diamond shapes with a greased knife.
    12. Serve hot with green all-purpose chutney or coconut chutney.
