  • 500 g - raw jackfruit
  • 2 - small onions
  • 1 inch piece - ginger
  • 3 flakes - garlic
  • 1/2 tsp - each of turmeric powder, ground cumin seeds and sugar
  • 1/2 cup - sour curds
  • a few sprigs coriander leaves
  • salt and chilli powder to taste

How to Make Jackfruit Curry

  • Peel and slice jackfruit.
  • Grind onions, ginger and garlic to a paste.
  • Put 1 cup water in curd and beat till smooth.
  • Heat 3 tbsps oil and fry onion paste to a golden colour.
  • Put in jackfruit and all the spices and salt and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Put in the curd, sugar and salt and cook over medium fire till done.
  • Serve decorated with coriander leaves.
