Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - frozen cooked jackfruit seed
  • 1/2 cup - fresh peas
  • 1 - onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 2 tbsp - coconut
  • 5 - cashew nuts (soaked for 30 minutes)
  • 1 tsp - poppy seed (soaked for 30 minutes)
  • 1/2 tsp - fennel
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1 inch stick - cinnamon
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp - oil
  • Coriander - to garnish

How to Make Jackfruit Seed and Peas Kurma

  • Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, cinnamon and onions. Fry till onion turns golden brown.
  • Add jackfruit seed and peas. Saute for a few minutes.
  • Add water, salt and garam masala. Cover and cook on medium flame.
  • Meanwhile, grind coconut, chillies, cashew, poppy seed, and fennel.
  • Add this masala to the contents in the pan.
  • Cook till the curry thickens.
  • Garnish with coriander.
  • Serve hot with any Indian bread.
