Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rice, soaked for two hours
  • 1 cup - Jackfruit chunks, canned or fresh one
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tbsp - Cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp - yellow gram, roasted
  • 1/4 cup - grated Coconut
  • How to Make Jackfruit Sweet Pidi Kozhukattai:

    1. Grind the soaked rice, jackfruit chunks and sugar with enough water to a fine paste
    2. Heat some oil, add the ground paste and cook on medium flame till it turns thick - like dough.
    3. Add the cardamom powder, roasted gram and grated coconut, mix everything well and keep aside
    4. Shape small balls with the dough and arrange them on a greased plate and steam for 10 mins in an idli cooker.
