Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rice flour
  • 1 cup - jaggery
  • 1 cup - coconut milk
  • 3 cups - water
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp - raisins
  • 1 tbsp - chopped cashews
  • 1 tbsp - ghee

How to Make Jaradi Payasa

  • Take the rice flour in a bowl and add a pinch of salt.
  • Make a thick paste of pouring consistency by adding a little water to the flour. Keep aside.
  • Heat a medium-sized vessel on a stove. Pour the remaining water to it, add jaggery, mix and bring to a boil.
  • Strain the jaggery syrup.
  • Add this to the flour mixture.
  • Keep a pan on medium heat and add the jaggery-flour mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Finally add coconut milk and cardamom powder.
  • Cook for 2 minutes while stirring continuously.
  • Remove from heat, swirl a tbsp of ghee, garnish with raisins and cashews and serve.
