How to Make

  • Scrape the karelas' skin, slit it, rub salt and leave it for a few hours.
  • Mix all the masalas including the aamchur powder.
  • Cut the onions in big cubes.
  • Wash the karelas well, dry them with the dry cloth or paper towel.
  • Fill the karelas with the masala mixture.
  • Take oil in a wok or non-stick pan. When the oil is heated, drop the karelas and fry till they turn brown.
  • Drain on absorbent paper.
  • Add the onions in the leftover oil and gently stir for a few minutes till the onions become tender.
  • Just before turning off the gas, sprinkle the leftover masala mix on the onion, add the karelas and give a quick stir.
  • Serve hot.
