  • 1 kg - juicy Orange Carrots
  • 1.5 litres - Milk
  • 500 g - Sugar
  • A pinch - Cardamom powder
  • A few flakes - Saffron
  • A few drops - Orange colour
  • 1 tbsp - Ghee
  • How to Make Juicy Carrot Halwa:

    1. Peel and grate the carrots
    2. Pour milk and put the grated carrots in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Boil till thick, stirring occasionally. Once it starts thickening, stir continuously.
    3. Add sugar and cook further till it thickens.
    4. Add ghee, elachi, saffron and colour.
    5. Stir on low heat till the mixture gathers into a soft ball or the ghee oozes out. Serve hot, decorated with chopped almonds or pista.
