  • 3/4 cup - besan
  • 2 - onions
  • 6 - green chillies
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - jeera

How to Make Junka

  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, jeera and green chillies and fry.
  • When they splutter, add chopped onions, water and cook.
  • Meanwhile mix besan in water to get the consistency of buttermilk.
  • Add the besan mix to the cooked onions.
  • Add salt.
  • Boil for approximately 10 minutes till desired consistency is reached and till raw taste of besan vanishes.
  • Serve hot with rotis or puris.
