Ingredients

  • 32 oz - yogurt
  • 1 tbsp - Corn oil
  • A pinch - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 4 - whole red chillies, broken
  • Garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp - ginger, chopped
  • 1 stem - Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - Fenugreek, powder
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/8 tsp - Turmeric powder

How to Make Kachya Moru (Mor Kulambu)

  • Heat the oil sufficiently to break the mustard seeds in.
  • Now add the chopped onion, red chillies, garlic, ginger and curry leaves.
  • After frying these ingredients, add fenugreek, cumin, turmeric.
  • Immediately lower the heat and add the beaten yogurt.
  • Add water to desired dilution.
  • Keep stirring under low heat with a wooden spoon.
  • Never boil.
  • The moment steam forms, remove from heat (or it will curdle) and continue to stir while adding salt to taste.
