How to Make Kaddu Kofta Curry

  • Peel and grate kaddu and mix it with salt and keep it aside.
  • Heat a kadai and add 2 tbsp oil, add green chillies and besan flour and fry the flour for few minutes.
  • Now squeeze the kaddu removing water from it.
  • Add this to the above mixture along with lime juice and make small balls (koftas) out of it.
  • Now deep fry the koftas in oil and keep aside
  • For the gravy:
  • Grind poppy seeds and dry coconut into a paste by adding water.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadai and fry onions till they turn golden brown to this add garlic ginger paste, chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and the ground paste fry for few mins.
  • Then add tomato and curd to the above and fry it for few mins till the tomatoes are soft.
  • To this, add the koftas.
  • Serve hot.
