  • 1.5 cup - Wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup - Molasses
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1.5 tsp - Aniseed (Sauf)
  • ghee or oil for frying

How to Make Kakra (Oriya Dish)

  • Boil 2 cups of water and Gud. Stir it well.
  • Add a pinch of salt and the aniseed into it.
  • Add wheat flour to boiling water.
  • Stir it properly to make a good dough.
  • Then leave it until the dough is cold.
  • Once the dough is cold, knead it smooth and make small Kakra rolls (like small thick puris). Fry in ghee or oil.
