  • 1 cup - Pearl millet
  • 1/4 cup - Channa dal
  • 1/4 cup - tur dal
  • 1/2 cup - Urad Dal
  • 2 - Red Chillies
  • A few Curry leaves
  • A pinch of asafetida
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Kambu adai:

    1. Soak pearl millet, channa dal, tur dal and urad dal in water for about 2 hours.
    2. Drain the water and add a pinch of hing and red chilli.
    3. Grind all the dals and pearl millet to a coarse paste. Add water if required.
    4. Add curry leaves to the batter.
    5. Heat oil on a tawa.
    6. Take a ladleful of batter and pour on to the tawa.
    7. Drizzle oil on the sides.
    8. Fry both sides till they turn golden brown and serve hot.
