Ingredients

  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 - Coconut
  • 2 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 3 flakes - Garlic
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 12 - lady fish (kane)
  • 1 tsp - Fenugreek
  • 1 - medium Onion
  • 1 small ball - Tamarind
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • How to Make Kane Curry (Ladyfish):

    1. Scrape the coconut.
    2. Grind it with red chilli powder, coriander powder, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, fenugreek, turmeric powder and tamarind into a fine paste.
    3. In a pan, heat oil and fry sliced green chillies and onions.
    4. Fry the ground masala in the same oil.
    5. Add a little water to make curry. Add salt to taste.
    6. When the masala is properly cooked, put the washed and cleaned Kane (ladyfish) in the curry and simmer it for three or four minutes.
