Ingredients

  • 3 cups - Coriander leaves (kothmeer), picked, washed and chopped
  • 1 cup - all purpose flour
  • 1 cup - gram flour(channa atta)
  • 1/2 cup - Peanuts (ground nuts)
  • 2 tsp - till (sesame seeds), powdered
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - white Sugar
  • 1 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp - soda bi-carbonate
  • As required - cooking oil, for deep frying
  • As required - salt to taste
  • How to Make Kanpir Bhaji Vode:

    1. Mix gram flour, all purpose flour, sesame seeds, coriander leaves, peanut powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, soda bicarb, ginger-garlic paste, sugar and salt.
    2. Add water and make a thick paste.
    3. Heat 2 tbsps of oil and add to the paste.
    4. Grease a thali and spread the paste evenly.
    5. Steam for 15 mins in an idli steamer or pressure cooker, without using the weight.
    6. Remove and cool.
    7. Cut into diamond shaped pieces.
    8. Heat oil and deep fry these pieces.
    9. Serve hot with green chutney.
