  • 2 cups - flour mix
  • 3 tbsp - dry Coconut powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli power
  • 2 tsp - Poppy Seeds
  • 2 - Onions (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Kara Roti:

    1. For flour Mix:
    2. Soak rice for 15 minutes.
    3. Drain water and dry the rice in shade for two days.
    4. Add 1 part of fried gram dal to the four parts of rice and grind.
    5. For preparation:
    6. Mix all the above ingredients together, add water and make a soft dough.
    7. Knead thoroughly to make it soft and keep it aside.
    8. Take a small ball of dough, roll out into a roti and cook on a hot tawa.
    9. Spread 1/2 tsp of oil around the edges, lip and cook the other side.
    10. Kara roti is ready.
    11. Serve with coconut garlic chutney.
