Ingredients

  • 12 - medium prawns
  • 1 cup - rava
  • 3 tsp - lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp - tamarind juice
  • 5 - medium red chillies (button)
  • 2/3 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 6-7 - curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 5 tsp - cooking oil

How to Make Karwari Prawns

  • Mix lime juice, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and tamarind water to make a paste.
  • Immerse prawns in the paste and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  • Coat marinated prawns with sooji and keep aside for another 3 minutes.
  • Heat oil and add red chillies, saute for a minute and add curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  • Heat oil in pan and shallow fry the prawns.
