Ingredients

  • 12 - medium Prawns
  • 1 cup - rava
  • 3 tsp - Lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp - Tamarind juice
  • 5 - medium Red Chillies (button)
  • 2/3 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 6-7 - Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 5 tsp - cooking oil
  • How to Make Karwari Prawns:

    1. Mix lime juice, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and tamarind water to make a paste.
    2. Immerse prawns in the paste and keep aside for 5 minutes.
    3. Coat marinated prawns with sooji and keep aside for another 3 minutes.
    4. Heat oil and add red chillies, saute for a minute and add curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
    5. Heat oil in pan and shallow fry the prawns.
