  • 3 - brinjal
  • 1 tsp - Bengal gram dal
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • 1 tsp - coriander seeds
  • 6 - dry chillies
  • Pinch - asafoetida
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Kathirikaai (Egg Plant ) Thuvaiyal

  • Heat the brinjal on flame till cooked.
  • Put all the other ingredients in a kadai and roast it for 2 mins.
  • Peel the skin of the brinjal and add it to this.
  • Grind the mixture coarsely in a mixer.
  • Serve.
