Ingredients

  • Brinjals - 100 g
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind paste - lime-size
  • Salt to taste
  • For masala powder:
  • 2 tsps - coriander
  • 1 tsp - tur dal,
  • 1 tsp - Bengal Gram dal
  • 5 - Red Chillies
  • Seasoning:
  • Hing - a pinch
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Kaththirikkai Rasavangi:

    1. Wash and cut brinjal into long thin slices.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai.
    3. Cook the brinjal for 5 mins.
    4. Add tamarind paste, salt and the masala powder.
    5. Add little water and cook till the brinjals are soft.
    6. Season with mustard, hing and curry leaves.
