  • 2 cup - raw banana, sliced
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp each - Mustard Seeds + Urad Dal
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • A few - Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • How to Make Kaya Mezhukkupuratti:

    1. Cook the plantain pieces with turmeric powder and water, until they turn soft, strain the water and keep aside
    2. Heat enough oil, splutter the mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
    3. Add the chopped onions, fry until they turn translucent.
    4. Add the cooked plantain pieces, red chilli powder, salt and simmer till the vegetables get well coated with the spices
    5. Serve.
