Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - bhuna keema
  • 1/2 tsp - oil
  • 1 - medium onion-chopped coarsely
  • 1 - tomato-chopped coarsely
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 - medium sized brinjals
  • For garnish:
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 - green chillies

How to Make Keema Bharta

  • Pierce the brinjals with a fork and place them in a microwave safe dish. Cook uncovered on high for 20 minutes.
  • Transfer into a pan of water and peel when cool enough to handle.
  • Mash the pulp and keep aside.
  • Mix together the oil, onions, tomato, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder and the turmeric.
  • Cook uncovered on high for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the brinjals and the bhuna keema.
  • Cook uncovered at 70 % for 15 mins, stirring once.
  • Serve garnished with coriander leaves and the green chillies.
