Ingredients

  • Red amaranth - 2 bunches
  • Toor dal -1 cup
  • Red chillies -3 to 4
  • Jeera- 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut - 3/4 cups
  • Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Keerai Molgaukootan

  • Finely cut the amaranths.
  • Pressure cook the toor dal and set aside.
  • Now grind the coconut, red chilli, jeera, urad dal into fine paste.
  • Cook the greens in kadai with little water.
  • When done add the cooked tuvar dal and mix it.
  • Add salt and boil for a while on low flame.
  • Now garnish with coriander seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
  • Finally add little coconut oil.
