Ingredients

  • Fenugreek seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Urud dhal - 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli - 3 or 4 pieces
  • Grated coconut - 5 to 6 tbsp
  • Curd - 2 cups
  • Vegetable - Either Brinjal or Lady's finger
  • Salt according to taste
  • For seasoning:
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves if available

How to Make Kerala Style Kuzhambu

  • First fry all the ingredients except curd in little oil and make a powder.
  • Fry the vegetable in little oil until it becomes soft.
  • Add curd and salt. Allow it to boil for few seconds.
  • Add the ground ingredients immediately and allow it to boil well.
  • Add the seasoning to the kuzhambu.
  • It goes well with rice and pappad.
