  • 1.5 cup - besan
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 1 pinch - yellow food colour
  • 10 to 12 - kesar threads
  • Raisins
  • Ghee - as needed

How to Make Kesari Modak

  • Make a thick syrup with water and sugar.
  • Add yellow food colour and kesar to it and keep it aside.
  • Fry besan in some ghee on a low flame till besan turns golden brown.
  • Turn off the stove, add some sugar syrup to the mixture and knead well.
  • Now take a small quantities of the mixture in your hands and shape it like modhaks.
  • Decorate with raisins.
