Ingredients

  • 50 g - dates, cut into strips
  • 1 cup - raisins, washed and soaked in hot water
  • 3 - lemon-sized balls of tamarinds
  • 1.5 cups - Jaggery
  • 2 cups - water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp - cumin seeds, roasted, powdered
  • 1 tsp - Ginger powder

How to Make Khajoor Kishmish Chutney

  • Soak the tamarind and jaggery in water for 30 mins.
  • Mash the soaked tamarind well and strain removing all the liquid and pulp.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and ginger powder.
  • Mix well.
  • Add the dates and drained raisins.
  • Mix well.
  • Let it rest for 30 mins before serving.
