  • 3 - Potatoes
  • 2 - Onions (sliced)
  • 1 - Tomato (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 cups - water
  • 4 - Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • 2 tsp - Ginger (minced)
  • Oil
  • 2 tbsp - Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • Salt
  • How to Make Khara Papeta (Parsi Potato Curry):

    1. Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes.
    2. Heat the oil, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
    3. Saute the onions till they turn golden brown, add the minced garlic cloves, minced ginger pieces, and saute again for a while.
    4. Add the cubed potatoes, chopped tomatoes, salt and turmeric powder, and saute for a few minutes.
    5. Add water and cook on medium flame until the potatoes are done.
    6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
    7. Serve hot.
