  • 3 - Potatoes (cubed)
  • 1/2 tsp - Ajwain seeds
  • 1 tsp - Dried Mango powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin powder
  • 1 - Tomato (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup - Thick yogurt
  • Oil
  • Salt

How to Make Khatte Aloo-Sour Potatoes

  • Cook the cubed potatoes in salted water until they turn soft.
  • Drain and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add the ajwain seeds and potatoes.
  • Saute well till the potatoes turns crispy.
  • Add the dried mango powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder and cumin powder, and cook for a few more minutes.
  • Add the chopped tomato and some water and cook until the potatoes are well coated with the spices.
  • Finally add the yogurt and bring to a boil, before taking it off the flame.
  • Serve hot with rotis.
