Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Rice
  • 1/4 kg Jaggery
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 4 cups - water
  • 1/2 Coconut, grated
  • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds
  • Powder of 4 Cardamoms

How to Make Khus-Khus Kheer

  • Soak rice for half an hour. Grind it.
  • Grind poppy seeds, coconut and cardamom.
  • Melt jaggery in 4 cups of water on low fire. When melted, increase heat and bring to a boil.
  • Add ground mixture and rice.
  • Cook for 10 minutes stirring all the time.
  • Cool and add milk.
  • Decorate with nuts.
