Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Kollu (horse gram)
  • 1/4 cup - thuvara paruppu (toor dal)
  • 5 - peppercorns
  • 5 - Red Chillies
  • 1/4 tsp - Asafetida powder

How to Make Kollu Paruppu Podi-Horse gram Dal Powder

  • Dry roast everything one by one and keep aside to cool.
  • Grind coarsely with enough salt and store in an air-tight box up to a month.
  • Serve this powder with hot rice topped with ghee or gingili oil.
