  • 1 cup - Curd
  • 1/4 kg - White pumpkin
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp - Chilli
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • Turmeric paste
  • 1 tsp - Tur Dal
  • 1 tsp - Channa dal

How to Make Kuzhumbu

  • Soak 1 tsp each of tur dal and channa dal for 10 minutes.
  • Beat the curd well.
  • Add salt, turmeric and hing powder to curds.
  • Add coconut, green chillies, and jeera (1 tsp each) to the soaked dal and grind it smoothly.
  • Add this paste to the curd and keep it on a slow flame for 5 minutes.
  • Season with mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilli toasted in oil
