Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg of Cabbage
  • 250 g pumpkin
  • 2 sweet potatoes, if not ordinary medium potatoes will do
  • 1 medium cauliflower
  • 2 medium-sized radish
  • 2 medium-sized brinjal
  • 2 drumsticks if available
  • 200 g cluster beans
  • 200 g green peas
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4-5 tbsp of Dhara Mustard Oil
  • 1-2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp - Sugar for taste
  • Saute them and Grind:
  • 1 tsp of whole Jeera
  • 1 tsp Dhania
  • 1 tsp red chillies
  • 2 Cloves
  • 2 cardamom
  • 2 Cinnamons

How to Make Labrar Torkari

  • Cut all the vegetables into medium pieces.
  • Wash all the vegetables thoroughly in running water and keep it dry so that the water drains out properly.
  • Heat the mustard oil in the kadai.
  • Put jeera (whole), bay leaves and sugar.
  • Saute it for some time and put the vegetables in it.
  • The water will start leaving from the vegetables.
  • As the vegetable starts to boil, add salt and turmeric.
  • Once the vegetables are completely boiled, drain the excess water.
  • Add ghee and the dry ingredients powder.
  • Simmer it for some time and serve with khichdi or rice.
