Ingredients

  • Milk - 3 litres
  • Sugar - 5 to 6 tbsp
  • custard powder - 1 tbsp
  • Almonds, soaked and sliced - 15
  • 1/2 cup - cold Milk

How to Make Lajawab Paneer

  • Make paneer (cottage cheese) with 1 liter milk.
  • Cool the paneer and put it in a sieve and wash it well under running water.
  • Boil 2 liters of milk.
  • Let it boil for some time till the quantity reduces a little.
  • Add the paneer and sugar to the boiling milk.
  • Let it simmer on slow fire for a little while, till it thickens.
  • Add the custard powder dissolved in half cup of cold milk to it.
  • Cook for 2 minutes and switch off the gas.
  • Garnish with sliced almonds and serve chilled.
