Ingredients

  • 1 kg - meat, cubed
  • 850 g - Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp - red chill powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 50 g - Ghee
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 potatoes, skinned, washed and cubed
  • 2 tsp - Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - chopped Parsley
  • 2 tsp - chopped Thyme

How to Make Lamb & Potato Casserole

  • In a bowl, mix lamb, chilli powder and cumin powder, cover and refrigerate for several hours.
  • Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, saute onion until soft, add turmeric and stir.
  • Add the tomatoes.
  • Add the meat, potatoes, sugar, parsley and thyme, simmer covered until meat is just tender and until the sauce is slightly thick.
