Ingredients

  • ?piece - a small lauki
  • 500 g - curds?
  • ?tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp - oil?
  • ?tsp - cumin seed powder
  • salt to taste
  • finely chopped coriander leaves (to garnish)

How to Make Lauki Ka Raita

  • Peel the lauki, wash and finely grate it.
  • Boil the grated lauki in 1 cup water for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the gas.
  • Drain out the water completely and cool the lauki.
  • Beat the curds with little water.
  • In a bowl, mix together the lauki and curd.
  • Add salt.
  • Heat a tsp of oil.
  • Add mustard seeds.
  • When the seeds splutter remove from gas and set it to cool.
  • Add to the raita and mix well.
  • Garnish with cumin seed powder and coriander leaves.
