How to Make Lauki N Black-eyes Peas Kurma

  • Grind the ingredients in the To Grind section into a fine paste and keep aside.
  • Heat the olive oil and fry the bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and cardamom till it browns.
  • Add the onions, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, and green chillies and saute until they are well cooked.
  • Add the chopped lauki and black-eyed peas to this and stir continuously until the lauki pieces are about half cooked.
  • Add garam masala powder, salt, chilli powder, and coriander powder and stir continuously for a few minutes.
  • Finally add the ground paste, chopped coriander leaves and enough water.
  • Cook for a few minutes until the oil separates.
  • Serve hot.
