Ingredients

  • 500 g - yogurt
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • 1 - green chilli (cut into small pieces)
  • Coriander
  • 1 cup - bottle gourd (grated)

How to Make Lauki Raita

  • Take a small amount of oil in a pan and heat it.
  • When the oil becomes hot, put cumin seeds and mustard into it.
  • When they splutter, add green chillies, curry leaves and grated bottle gourd.
  • Cook it for 5 minutes on medium flame and stir it well.
  • Take yogurt in a bowl and add the above mixture along with salt to taste.
  • If the mixture is thick, add a little water and stir it well till it becomes smooth.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve it hot.
