Ingredients

  • 2 cups - cooked Rice
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 2 - Dried red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - Cashew nuts (or ground nuts)
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 5-6 - Curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup - fresh lime/lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Lemon Flavoured Rice:

    1. Heat oil in a deep pan, add mustard, red chillies and curry leaves, and saute till the mustard starts spluttering.
    2. Add turmeric and cashew nuts or ground nuts and fry for a few seconds.
    3. Now, mix in the cooked rice, lemon/lime juice, salt and mix well.
    4. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
