Ingredients

  • 6 cups - flour
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 3 - Lemon rinds
  • 3 tsp - baking powder
  • 1.5 tsp - salt
  • 1.5 cup - softened Butter
  • 3 tsp - Poppy Seeds
  • 3 - eggs
  • 3 - lemon, juice
  • Milk
  • How to Make Lemon Poppy Seed Scones:

    1. Combine flour, sugar, lemon rinds, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter.
    2. Blend enough milk to make 2 cups with eggs and juice.
    3. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
    4. Roll dough out to 1.5 inch thick. Cut into 3-inch rounds. Place on greased sheets.
    5. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
