  • 1/4 cup Ghee or Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Lentils
  • 4-6 Tomatoes or 1 can of whole tomatoes
  • 2 Onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsps Ginger
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp black Pepper
  • Pinch of Hing

How to Make Lentil Rajma

  • Boil the lentils separately.
  • In a large pot, add seasonings and then fry the onions, ginger and garlic in the ghee or olive oil.
  • Drain the lentils and add them to the pot.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes form a thick sauce.
  • Serve over white or brown rice. (an apple chutney is good with it)
