  • 2 cups - Sugar
  • 3/4 cup - Water
  • 1/4 tsp - Cream of tartar (You can use same amount of lime juice instead)
  • Salt a pinch

How to Make Light Corn Syrup Substitute

  • Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir often.
  • Cover the pan with lid and simmer for about 3 minutes.
  • Take the lid off and stir and let it simmer till you get the right consistency. Switch off the heat.
  • Cool and pour into a container.
