Ingredients

  • 1 cup - chopped lychees
  • 2 tbsp - Rice
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • few drops of kewra essence
  • 1 litre Milk
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 5 Pistachios crushed coarsely
  • 10 Almonds crushed coarsely
  • How to Make Lychee Kheer:

    1. Coarsely grind the rice.
    2. Wash and soak for 30 minutes.
    3. Heat milk, bring to a boil.
    4. Add rice, stirring continuously, till boiling resumes.
    5. Simmer, stirring occasionally, to keep rice from sticking to bottom.
    6. Allow rice to cook fully.
    7. Add lychees and stir for 5 mins.
    8. Add sugar, cardamom, essence, almonds and pistachios.
    9. Stir, simmer for 2 minutes.
    10. Serve chilled.
