  • Fried Channa - 100 g
  • Sugar - 180 to 200 g
  • Ghee - 100 g
  • Cardamom (powdered) - 1 tsp
  • Cashewnuts - 6
  • How to Make Maalaadu:

    1. Powder channa and sugar separately.
    2. Mix powdered channa, sugar and cardamom.
    3. Heat one tbsp of ghee and fry the cashew nuts till light brown.
    4. Break the cashew nuts into small pieces and mix with the above mixture.
    5. Heat the remaining ghee in a wok (kadai) till it is quite hot.
    6. Pour the hot ghee over the channa, sugar, cardamom, cashewnuts mixture and mix well using a ladle.
    7. While the mixture is still hot, make lime-size laddus using your hands.
    8. Allow them to cool to room temperature.
