How to Make Machchli Ka Pulao

  • Wash and dry the fish and cut into pieces.
  • Heat 1 tbsp - oil.
  • Add turmeric, chopped coriander leaves, chillies, garam masala and salt to taste.
  • Let it sizzle for 2-3 mins.
  • Then add the lemon juice and put in the pieces of fish and fry them well on both sides so that the masala coats them well.
  • When they are cooked, remove and reserve.
  • Fry the chopped onion to a light brown, add the rice and salt and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add 3 cups of hot water and cook till nearly done.
  • Then place fish pieces on top and cover.
  • Cook on a very low heat.
  • Let the rice cook till all water evaporates.
  • Serve hot.
