  • Mackerels - 3
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  • Garlic - 8
  • Green chilli - 4
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Coconut Oil - Enough for frying
  • White Vinegar - 4 tbsp

How to Make Mackerel Pickle

  • Cut and clean mackerels. [Cut into small pieces]. Then marinate it with 3 tsp chilli powder, 3 tsp garlic- ginger paste, 3/4 tsp fennel seed powder and 1 tsp turmeric powder.
  • Keep this in fridge for 1 hour and fry in coconut oil.
  • Chop garlic, ginger and green chillies.
  • Also cut a few curry leaves.
  • After frying fish, take it out and put chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves in the remaining oil.
  • Fry for a few minutes.
  • Add 4 tbsp of white vinegar and 2 tsp of chilli powder into this and let it boil.
  • Put fried mackerel pieces into it.
  • Remove from fire.
  • When it turns cool, keep in the refrigerator.
  • Mix before serving.
