Ingredients

  • 60 g -caster Sugar
  • 60 g- plain flour
  • 60 g- melted Butter
  • 2 -medium eggs
  • 1- lemon, zest
  • 1/2 tsp -baking powder
  • Icing Sugar for dusting

How to Make Madeleines

  • Preheat oven at 220 C. Sift flour and baking powder.
  • Grease muffin tins.
  • Whisk zest, eggs and sugar together.
  • Pour butter around the bowl's edge. Divide equally between tins.
  • Bake for about 12 - 15 minutes.
  • On cooling, dust with icing sugar.
  • Fold in flour and baking powder.
