Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Kara boondhi
  • 1 cup - Ompodi/ Sev
  • 1/4 cup - Ribbon pakoda
  • 2-3 - Mullu murukku
  • 1/4 cup - Peanuts
  • 1/4 cup - Roasted gram | Chutney Dal
  • 1/4 cup - Rice flakes
  • 1/4 tsp - Freshly ground pepper
  • Curry leaves - 8-10
  • Salt to taste
  • 5-6 - (Optional) Cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp- (Optional) Cornflakes.

How to Make Madras Mixture Recipe

  • Deep Fried the peanuts, roasted gram, rice flakes (thick or thin) curry leaves, cashew nuts, cornflakes, salt, separately in oil and drain the excess oil in a kitchen towel.
  • Mix all the ingredients together and add crushed pepper to it.
  • Crush the ompodi, ribbon pakoda and murukku into small pieces.
  • Mix well.
  • Cool and store in airtight containers.
  • Serve with tea.
