Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - Peanuts
  • 1 - big onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves or a mix of Mint and coriander
  • 1/2 tsp - thick Tamarind paste
  • 1/2 tsp - chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp -cumin seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp - thick jaggery, optional
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • For seasoning:
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 pinch - Hing
  • 2 pinches - Turmeric powder
  • How to Make Maharashtrian style Kandyachi chutney:

    1. Transfer all the ingredients into a small mixer bowl and grind to a smooth paste with very little water.
    2. For seasoning:
    3. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, when they crackle, add hing and turmeric powder.
    4. Pour this seasoning over ground paste and mix well.
